Presents a series of artistic and educational initiatives that integrate site-specific video dance, participatory methodologies, and contemporary stage creation. Its work lies at the intersection of art, territory, and community. The methodology that guides its work incorporates the following pillars:

1. Transdisciplinarity as a framework for creation

Alebrije’s works combine dance, film, sound art, somatic practices, ecologies of movement, expanded performance, and community dialogue. This convergence of languages promotes experimentation, transdisciplinarity, cultural diversity, and artistic innovation.

2. Site-specific and site-adaptive methodologies

In both its video dance projects and stage productions, Alebrije works from a deep connection with natural, urban, architectural, and social spaces. This approach allows each intervention to adapt sensitively to the characteristics of its environment (open spaces, theater venues, alternative spaces), creating a meaningful dialogue with the territory in which it is situated.

3. Dialogue with Audiences and Participatory Practices

Alebrije’s work prioritizes the creation of experiences that promote the active involvement of participants. Through video dance screenings, master classes, and workshops, the group integrates methodologies of dialogic exchange, mindful observation, listening practices, and co-creation dynamics that enable the collective construction of meaning.

 

The works included in this proposal have received international recognition, have been selected for video dance exhibitions and festivals in numerous countries, and feature a flexible technical structure that allows them to be presented in both conventional performance spaces and alternative settings.
